An Amtrak train fatally struck a 34-year-old man Wednesday evening in West Donegal Township, the Lancaster County coroner said. Alex Fitzgibbon, of Columbia, was hit around 5:30 p.m. and taken to Penn Medicine Lancaster General Hospital. He was pronounced dead in a hospital operating room at 7:22 p.m., according to the coroner’s office.
