TVNewser can exclusive reveal that the former White House correspondent for Politico and MSNBC’s newly-announced senior Washington correspondent is the commencement speaker for 2025’s graduating class at Colorado State University.

MSNBC has officially named Eugene Daniels as its new Senior Washington Correspondent. A former Politico journalist, Daniels is no stranger to the network, having made frequent appearances over the years.

Eugene Daniels confirmed this morning that he will be departing Politico to take a full-time role as MSNBC’s senior Washington correspondent. The announcement was made on Morning Joe this morning. Daniels also will be a co-host of The Weekend along with Jonathan Capehart,

Eugene Daniels, Politico’s White House correspondent and Playbook author, is making his next big move — joining MSNBC to co-host a weekend roundtable. The move comes amid a wider shake-up at the network this week that saw host Joy Reid’s show axed and her departure from the network.
