The move by the state’s Anti-Corruption body follows a special court in Bengaluru ordering a Lokayukta police investigation into the allegations against Siddaramaiah.

The FIR was filed according to the order by Special Court for People’s Representatives and names Siddaramaiah as accused 1, and his wife Parvathy as accused 2 and Bamaida Mallikarjunaswamy as accused 3.

The Lokayukta police have registered an FIR against Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in the Mysuru Urban Development Authority site allotment case. This follows a special court's order for a probe into allegations of illegalities in the allotment of sites to his wife,

The Lokayukta police have filed a First Information Report (FIR) against Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in connection with the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) site allotment case.

"Acting under Sec.156 (3) of Code of Criminal Procedure, the jurisdictional police i.e., Superintendent of Police, Karnataka Lokayukta, Mysuru is hereby directed to register the case, investigate and to file a report as contemplated under Sec.173 of Cr.P.C., within a period 3 months from today.." the court had said.

Siddaramaiah again asked whether Modi had resigned from the Gujarat CM post after the Godhra incident. Mysuru: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said "BJP and JD (S) are scared of me. That's why they are targeting me again and again. This is the first politics-oriented case. I am not scared."

Referring to the ongoing confrontation between Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot and the Congress government in Karnataka, Mr Siddaramaiah pointed out that Governors were nominated and not elected by the people.

As the political row simmered, the CM dug in his heels, calling the allegations against him a conspiracy by the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Karnataka joins other opposition-ruled states, including Punjab, Jharkhand, Kerala, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Mizoram, Telangana, Meghalaya, and Tamil Nadu, in withdrawing general consent for the CBI in recent years.

Karnataka's Deputy Chief Minister, DK Shivakumar, responded to the BJP's demand for Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's resignation over the MUDA scam, stating that the entire Congress party stands in support of Siddaramaiah.
