The National Guard presence in D.C. is set to increase in the coming days after the governors of some Republican states deployed troops to the capital.

The Republican governors of three states are deploying hundreds of National Guard troops to Washington at the request of the Trump administration.

DeWine said the troops are expected to arrive in D.C. in the coming days and emphasized that none of them currently serve as active law enforcement officers in Ohio.
