Payal Kapadia’s film All We Imagine As Light has received international appreciation and various prestigious accolades during the ongoing awards season. The film got multiple nominations at the Golden Globes 2025 but didn’t win in any category.

Besides All We Imagine as Light, other Indian films were nominated at the BAFTA 2025. Sandhya Suri's Santosh and Karan Kandhari's Sister Midnight were nominated in the Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director or Producer category. Dev Patel was also nominated in this category for directing Monkey Man.

Filmmaker Payal Kapadia made history after receiving two nominations at the 82nd Golden Globes Awards for All We Imagine As Light. Kapadia was nominated for Best Director, and her film was in the running for Best Non-English Film.

All We Imagine As Light scored a nomination in the Best Film Not in the English Language category. The award ceremony will take place on February 16.

Organized by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, the BAFTAs celebrate outstanding cinematic achievements from around the globe. Competing alongside AWIAL in this category are Jacques Audiard’s Emilia Pérez, Walter Salles’ I’m Still Here, Rich Peppiatt’s Kneecap, and Mohammad Rasoulof’s The Seed of the Sacred Fig.
