Sunday will start off quiet, but mild. A line of heavy rain and gusty winds may cross the region from west to east through the afternoon. There’s a low-end chance of localized, strong to severe storms as the front crosses. Right now, the great risk appears to be strong winds.

An upper-level wave will move across the state with a few showers. Lows will be in the lower to middle 40s. Thursday will be mostly cloudy with a few showers/sprinkles. An area of high pressure northeast of Alabama will bring east-to-southeast winds across the state making it mild and sending a dry air wedge
