SafeSide Recovery has been awarded the long-term contract to operate Pueblo's homeless shelter. The nonprofit took over interim operations in January after the Pueblo Rescue Mission dissolved.

SafeSide Recovery will serve as permanent operators of Pueblo's only full-time homeless shelter following a Pueblo City Council vote.

SafeSide Recovery began interim oversight of the Pueblo Shelter when the former nonprofit, Pueblo Rescue Mission, was dissolved in December 2024.

SafeSide Recovery has entered into agreements with the City of Pueblo to operate the full-time shelter located at 728 W. 4th St. from Jan. 1, 2025 to March 31, 2025.
