Salesforce is laying off 153 workers at Salesforce Tower in San Francisco, part of more than 1,000 cuts it is reportedly planning. The cloud computing giant, which is the city’s largest employer, is laying off the workers by April 25,

A source told Bloomberg that Salesforce will enable affected employees to apply for other positions internally. The company’s last major round of layoffs took pace last January, when it let go about 700 employees.

Displaced workers will, however, have the opportunity to apply for other internal positions. The report also noted that it couldn't be determined which divisions were primarily affected by the reductions.

Salesforce is reportedly set to lay off up to 1,000 employees from its workforce. However, it is recruiting in its market division to bolster AI product sales.

Salesforce is all set to carry out another round of job cuts as part of its restructuring efforts. According to a Bloomberg report, more than 1,000 employees will be affected by the layoffs, although they will have the opportunity to apply for other internal roles.
