Authorities said Tuesday that a man who attacked rapper Tory Lanez in a California prison is an inmate serving a life sentence for second-degree murder who was previously convicted for an in-prison assault with a deadly weapon.

Prison authorities have named Santino Casio as the inmate who allegedly stabbed the Canadian hip-hop artist 14 times.

More than a year into his 10-year sentence for shooting at Megan Thee Stallion, Tory Lanez was hospitalized with collapsed lungs, per his team.
