Hurricane John is forecast to bring severe weather to the southern Mexico coast, including life-threatening flash flooding.

A disturbance in the Caribbean Sea is expected to strengthen into a hurricane that will take aim at Florida midweek.

The storm is expected to move into the Gulf of Mexico this week and will likely strengthen into Hurricane Helene before landfall.
