The Education Department investigated the schools’ transgender policies after a complaint was filed by a group founded by senior White House official Stephen Miller.

The Education Department found last month that the five Virginia districts violated Title IX by allowing students access to "intimate, sex-segregated facilities" based on the students' gender identity instead of their biological sex.

Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin has directed state police to probe claims that staff at a Fairfax County school arranged abortions for students without parental consent.

According to the news release published on Wednesday, reports allege that school staff assisted several students in obtaining abortions in 2021, and that the school administration may have been aware of the situation.

In Fairfax County, Virginia — a wealthy, liberal-leaning suburb just outside the nation’s capital — allegations are swirling that staff at a public high school arranged and even paid for abortions for underage girls without ever telling their parents.
