Judge Aileen Cannon on Tuesday extended the hold she has placed blocking the Justice Department from sharing special counsel Jack Smith’s report on his investigation into President Donald Trump’s mishandling of classified documents with members of Congress.

The Justice Department ended its prosecution on Wednesday of two former co-defendants of President Donald Trump who were accused of mishandling classified documents. Smith dropped both cases against Trump after the election citing a Justice Department policy of not indicting or prosecuting a sitting president.
