Lawmakers in Pennsylvania propose free school lunches for all students, aiming to reduce hunger and stigma while improving education outcomes in the state.

Advocates say free school lunch would produce healthier, more engaged students — plus would save kids from stigma, and parents from debt.

But it isn’t the only reason it’s a special day in Pennsylvania. Today is one of the two days people across Pennsylvania can fish for free.
