The infamous trade between the Los Angeles Lakers and Dallas Mavericks received some more fuel to the fire.
Anthony Davis is now one of multiple Dallas Mavericks players who have undergone recent surgery, adding to their already eventful offseason.
To the Lakers’ credit, the franchise prioritized signing former No. 1 overall pick Deandre Ayton as Davis' ideal last Wednesday. Ayton officially joined Los Angeles on Sunday. “OFFICIAL: Welcome to the Purple & Gold, Deandre,” The Lakers announced on X/Twitter.
The Dallas Mavericks look to be a big team next season. They already had a large frontcourt with Anthony Davis at power forward and the rotating center combo of Dereck Lively II and Daniel Gafford, but that was only emphasized when they won the Draft Lottery and selected Cooper Flagg, the consensus top player in the class.
