President-elect Donald Trump was on hand with Elon Musk for the sixth test flight of SpaceX's huge Super Heavy-Starship rocket.

Elon Musk's SpaceX has launched a flight test of its Starship rocket, as NASA pins its hopes of returning to the moon and reaching Mars. Donald Trump has been watching on as the company aborted plans to catch the rocket's booster for reuse.

"Starship's fifth flight test was a seminal moment in iterating toward a fully and rapidly reusable launch system," SpaceX said in a statement. "On the first attempt, the Super Heavy booster successfully returned to the launch site and was caught by the chopstick arms of the launch and catch tower at Starbase."
