Starbucks will soon require visitors to buy something to use the bathroom or to get free water. Some store employees say that limiting those amenities to paying customers might not be possible.
Starbucks told Insider it will charge customers $1 for Refresher drinks requested with no water. Three baristas said they are concerned about the change, which takes effect Tuesday.
"There will be an additional cost of $1 for Starbucks Refreshers Beverages customized with no water, as this customization requires extra ingredients," the company said in a statement.
Starbucks will charge you an extra $1 if you order one of its popular fruity Refreshers drinks with no water. Ice or light ice is no extra charge.
