For the first two years of the new generation of Super Bowl logos, the colors on the logo have lined up with the game’s eventual matchup — Bengals vs. Rams and then Chiefs vs. Eagles. That streak only ended last season when the Ravens lost to the Chiefs in AFC title game, but we came awfully close to three in a row.

Ron Torbert was the referee on the field for the Eagles' first game of the season and he'll also be the ref for their final game of the season.  The NFL has tabbed Torbert to serve as the referee in Super Bowl LIX,

The upcoming Chiefs-Eagles Super Bowl has added fuel to the fire of a popular NFL conspiracy involving the colors in the logo.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were the home team in Super Bowl LV – both figuratively and literally since the game was played at their home stadium, Raymond James Stadium – and chose to wear white jerseys with pewter pants against the Kansas City Chiefs, who wore red jerseys with white pants.
