National Weather Service (NWS) meteorologists are warning that damage is likely to occur to residential structures on Monday afternoon as thunderstorms work their way through Texas and Oklahoma, threatening strong winds and possible tornadoes.

A surge of severe storms brought several tornado warnings to central Oklahoma communities, starting early Monday morning and into the afternoon.
