The New York Yankees face a lot of scrutiny for moving on from DJ LeMahieu, but Brian Cashman denied rumors that it was planned.

NEW YORK — Yankees general manager Brian Cashman knows he isn’t showing up to the trade market this month with one item on his shopping list. If all goes according to plan, he’ll be filling up his cart with big-league talent this year.

"We’re going to town,” Cashman said. “We’re going to do everything we possibly can to improve ourselves and try to match up."
