The Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps has been given a new deal to stay on the Formula 1 schedule but will become one of the venues in rotation. The Belgian Grand Prix will appear on the F1 calendar for four of the next six seasons after 2025, taking place in 2026, 2027, 2029 and 2031. It marks a first step from F1 to introduce circuit rotation to its calendar amid sizable demand from countries around the world to host a grand prix.

F1 did not announce which races will be substituted for Belgium in its off years, but the rotational schedule frees up a spot on the calendar to introduce the sport in other markets.

The deal means the fixture at Spa-Francorchamps – which is among the most recognisable in F1 – will be omitted from the schedule in 2028 and 2030.
