The India Meteorological Department has issued an alert for dense fog during the morning hours, warning of reduced visibility across Delhi.

Passengers were stranded at New Delhi Railway Station as several trains were delayed due to dense fog conditions.

While dense fog and snow flurries were seen at the Denver International Airport on Saturday morning, hundreds of flights have been delayed and more than a dozen have been canceled.

IMD said that the maximum temperature of the city settled at 20 degrees Celsius, 0.7 notch above average and the minimum temperature was recorded at 7.8 degrees Celsius.

The weather phenomenon caused significant disruptions in air and rail travel, delaying 81 trains and diverting 15 flights.
