Bobby Whitlock, who is perhaps best-known as an integral member of Eric Clapton ’s short-lived 1970s band Derek and the Dominos, died in the early morning hours on Sunday, August 10. He was 77.

As many diehard Beatles fans know, one of Harrison's White Album tracks was inspired by friend Eric Clapton's sweet tooth. However, some think Harrison hid a jab at McCartney inside the lyrics, too.
