India is celebrating its 76th Republic Day with a colorful parade displaying its military might and cultural diversity at a ceremony on a boulevard in the heart of country’s capital.

Colourful tableaux, fighter jet formations and motorbike stunts by army daredevils marked India's Republic Day celebrations in New Delhi on Sunday, commemorating the day the nation's secular constitution came into effect in 1950.

Tilak Varma's brilliant 72 not out guided India to a thrilling two-wicket victory over England on Saturday, handing the hosts a 2-0 lead in the five-match Twenty20 International series.

Tilak Varma played a lone hand as he shepherded India across the finish line against England with an unbeaten 72 off 55 balls in the second Twenty20 on Saturday. Varma's third T20 half-century rescued India from 78-5 in the 10th over and chased down the target of 166 with four balls remaining.

This is the first time England have had India five down at the halfway stage of the innings in a T20I. Tilak Varma needs a knock here for India as he looks around the field. Boundaries are at a premium just now.
