Screen mass production is supposed to begin in the fourth quarter of this year, so the foldable iPhone can go on sale in 2026.
Apple may have found a solution to the problem. According to a report by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple will be using displays from Samsung Display Corporation, which has developed a crease-free display for folding phones. To prevent creasing, the display uses metal plates created by Fine M-Tec, a manufacturer of components.
One of the biggest rumors is that Apple will be offering a full-screen display with the iPhone 20. A proper one, with no interruptions to speak of — no notches, no cutouts. The phone would feature just pure screen with all the important stuff hiding away under the surface, including the front camera.
While the Apple iPhone 17 line has not been officially announced, previous release patterns suggest a possible launch event in September 2025. Industry insiders believe that the iPhone 17 will come with a price tag of $799, with the iPhone 17 Pro coming in at $999, but official pricing information hasn’t been announced at the time of this writing.
