Five people, including a six-year-old girl, were seriously injured after a crash involving four vehicles on the M6, Lancashire Police have said. It happened at about 10:30 BST on Monday on the southbound section of the motorway between junctions 33 and 32 at Forton Services near Lancaster.

Nine people were injured in a horror crash on the M6, including a six-year-old girl and one-year-old boy. Emergency services were called to the motorway between junction 33 for Lancaster and the Forton Services on the southbound carriageway on Monday, July 14 at around 10.30am.

A baby aged just one has been confirmed as the youngest of casualties in a horror M6 crash. Emergency services stopped traffic in response to a multi-car collision before rushing nine people, including a six-year-old girl, to hospital.
