With congestion pricing set to begin Sunday, New Jersey officials have made one final attempt to stop the plan.

We're just days away from the start of congestion pricing, which the MTA says will begin as planned on Sunday, but New Jersey officials are vowing to keep the fight alive to stop it.

Some New Jersey elected leaders, including U.S. Rep. Josh Gottheimer, vowed to keep fighting congestion pricing during a press conference on Thursday. The state sued the MTA back in April, arguing that congestion pricing could have environmental consequences for areas in New Jersey that border New York City.

Congestion pricing is set to begin in New York City on Sunday, but the fight against it continues in New Jersey. A hearing on a temporary restraining order request against congestion pricing is being held Friday afternoon in Newark.

Randy Mastro argues that there is little in the plan that will benefit New Jersey at all although there will be many communities in the Garden State that will be impacted.
