Suryavanshi was signed for ₹ 1.1 crore by Rajasthan Royals at the IPL mega auction. He debuted for the franchise on April 19, 2025, against Lucknow Super Giants at the age of 14 years and 23 days. He played the match-winning knock in just his third game.

Rajasthan Royals' 14-year-old wonderkid Vaibhav Suryavanshi smashed the fastest-ever IPL century off just 35 balls, and also became the youngest-ever player to hit a T20 century, as RR chased down a target of 210 against Gujarat Titans in just 15.

Dravid had mentioned before the aim of an RR with the young talent. According to him, while Vaibhav is now basking in applause, a responsible young player must be prepared to handle criticism when things go wrong.
