It’s been about five months since a law requiring TikTok to be banned in the United States unless it was sold off by its China-based parent company, ByteDance, technically went into effect.

Since this announcement, Trump has had to delay the deadline for TikTok's sale multiple times, but the president has recently said we should find out who the new buyer is in the next two weeks.
