The Louisiana LNG development is set to enhance Woodside's global LNG portfolio to approximately 24mtpa in the 2030s, accounting for more than 5% of the worldwide LNG supply.

Australia's Woodside Energy gave final approval to build a $17.5 billion liquefied natural gas project in Louisiana, confident a pro-fossil fuel U.S. administration and strong demand will give it competitive returns.

Global energy giant BP will supply natural gas to Woodside for its Louisiana LNG project, marking Woodside’s first secured tranche of feed gas for the site. Under the agreement, GasCo, a subsidiary of Louisiana LNG, will buy up to 640 billion cubic feet of gas from BP starting in 2029 for delivery via pipeline.
