The City of San Antonio commemorates the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with an annual series of events that culminates with one of the nation’s largest Martin Luther King Jr. Marches.
The March is 2.75 miles and starts at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Academy, travels up Martin Luther King Drive, and ends at Pittman Sullivan Park, all on the City’s historic East Side.
The San Antonio Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission organizes the annual MLK March and leads the community effort of various events paying tribute to Dr. King. The City of San Antonio's 2018 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. (MLK) Commission and partners have begun planning our City's nationally recognized MLK March. This year the MLK March is scheduled to take place on January 15, 2018 at 10 a.m.
