Wonderful original pencil sketch depicting a mounted officer and infantry advancing into the tree lines to roust the Confederate sharpshooter position. The piece measures 5 ¼” x 9” Cursory research shows one J. Houg in the service. Jacob Houg served with the 34th New Jersey Infantry from 1863-1865.
