You helped us provide families with healthy, high-quality food, including lots of fresh produce, meat and fish, eggs, milk, cheese, and a wide selection of non-perishables. To wrap up the year, we gave more than 250 plentiful Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets to families in need.

 The purpose of Good Neighbors is to help families and individuals in times of crisis and need with clothing, emergency food and support During 2024, the volunteers at our 6 locations gave 44,100 hours to assist 19,200 families (62,400 individuals)

Good Neighbors helps connect food with individuals in need to help eliminate food insecurity. Our volunteers collect food that would otherwise be wasted and deliver it straight to the community. This reduces hunger and food waste by leveraging existing resources to serve more people.

During the 7 weeks of Lent, let’s focus on one meal each week and provide donations to Good Neighbors Food Pantry for shoppers to make that meal. Below are ideas for each week. We would encourage you to pick 7 of any one item or 7 of different items.

In 2023, Good Neighbors served more than 13,740 hot meals, welcomed more than 4,050 visitors to our food pantry, and assisted 700 local families. Helping the people of East Providence and neighboring communities bridge the gap between their needs and means by providing access to healthy food. We are a 501 (c) (3) organization.

Serving residents in the greater Summit County area. The Food Center entrance is located at 1460 Bingham Path, Akron, Ohio 44305. Open Monday through Thursday from 12:00 - 3:00 p.m. for food. Visits are permitted every 30 days, please keep track of your visits. Identification is needed each visit.
