I explained how the email clearly is offering up to $400 for a Pixel 5 trade-in, and asked several times how a Pixel 5 in perfect condition was not worth the maximum. The support person kept responding how it's up to "market value" and they had no control over the trade-in value.

Apr 26, 2022 · That's because Google has too small of a market share for big companies to care about stocking pixel related items For context Google has less than 2% market share so for every 1000 cases sold only 10 of them are for the pixel so big retailers don't bother stocking them as it's a waste of their time and a waste of money

And yeah, I went with the Advanced Exchange to try to get one quicker, and thankfully it only took about 5 days to get the replacement (silver housing, bay band), which was very surprising.
