Sep 24, 2023 · Freeman didn't want an offsides penalty that would come with having a player running into the field but not making it all the way to the end zone because that gives OSU an extra chance. But calling a timeout you don't have is a dead ball penalty, we'd get half the distance but we'd still only have one chance to get the ball in the end zone.
