13 hours ago · Uncertainty tied to two close races in the 2024 Howard County Board of Education ellection appears to be decided according to the latest unofficial results posted by the Maryland Board of Elections on Nov. 12. According to those results, District 1 Incumbent Meg Ricks claimed 51.02% of the vote, defeating Andre Gao who pulled 45.48%.
Fitch upgrades BWI Marshall bond rating to A+
22 hours ago · Fitch Ratings has upgraded the Maryland Department of Transportation’s revenue bonds for a major project at BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport to A+ from A with a stable outlook. The rating upgrade comes in advance of an upcoming bond sale to complete construction of the Concourse A/B Connector and Baggage Handling System at BWI Marshall.

Oct 11, 2024 · Maryland’s six casinos combined to generate $160.5 million in revenue from slot machines and table games during October 2024, an increase of $712,500 (0.4%) compared to October 2023. Casino gambling contributions to the state during October 2024 totaled $68.5 million an increase of $1,307,235 (1.9 %) compared to the same month in 2023.
