Toji is stronger than most if not all the Grade 1 sorcerers and could handle lower to mid special grade e.g. Choso. He'd get solidly beaten by the higher-end special grades (Geto, Yuta, Jogo, Mahito). Overall Toji (and Maki) are particularly good at fighting sorcerers, but seem vulnerable to Domain Expansion.

Jan 27, 2022 · What Toji and Maki were built for, almost their inescapable raisin detre: being sorcerer killers. Both Toji and Maki would get wrecked by special grade curses, but man, they could hold their own against even the top sorcerers. Every single fight where Maki and Toji have truly shone has been about killing other humans.

I get that there are fanboys for Toji but Toji, right after defeating Gojo, did manage to beat Geto who was soon promoted to Special Grade Sorcerer without any noticeable change in combat strength. Geto was just getting back from the Star Plasma mission, but the narrator didn't say much about Geto's fatigue like it did for Gojo.

Toji has been in a fully realized heavenly restricted body for 30+ years, has been a sorcerer killer for a decade or longer, has a much better arsenal, better battle iq, etc. Maki has literally no advantage over Toji.

Toji would be strong enough to defend against many attacks since his body is different. The domain of Jogo would be more difficult because it is lava. However, with some special cursed weapon or something, I think he could also defend himself.

I think Toji remarried to protect Megumi or at least to give him a safe place since Toji was always busy with his constructing his plan against the Zenin family and Megumi was a child he needed some sort of parental supervision.
