Dec 24, 2024 · Theoretically, it's possible, but you'd have to change out the GPU heat sink, GPU, get a custom BIOS programmed for it and be able to actually locate one of the three other Nvidia cards that are compatible with that specific laptops configuration. This would cost more than buying a laptop that had what you wanted. Not very realistic honestly.

Feb 28, 2018 · I agree it sounds like a failing Nvidia GPU. However, before you give up on it, try downloading the Nvidia and Intel drivers for your laptop from the Asus support website. Then unplug your computer from the network / turn off WiFi (to prevent Windows Update from auto-updating the drivers). Install the drivers you downloaded from the Asus website.
