Nov 19, 2024 · While I'm waiting for the sim to start, I checked the DLSS versions that come with the sim: GPU-Z scans for all DLSS .dll files on my system. These are located in the \Content folders for both sims. I've updated MSFS2020 to the latest versions. Interestingly, the "regular" .dll file for MSFS2024 is 2.4.12. That dates back to August 2022.

Dec 6, 2024 · In fact the fix for DLSS ghosting just negates the advantage of DLSS. If secondary scaling with a factor higher than 1.0 is applied, you just counteract DLSS (rendering at a lower internal resolution to upscale on the screen). Usual clickbait video. P.S.

Dec 2, 2024 · There is offcourse artifacts from DLSS as general there is allways. * if you do benchmark with only DLSS Ultra quality mode, to match final render resolution as with SecondaryScalingVR+DLSS balanced, you wont see the diffrence and performance is way more better with SecondaryScalingVR+DLSS balanced. And recommend doing a change in the usercfg.opt file* which allegedly will reduce DLSS shimmering, bringing it closer to TAA image quality. However, when I tried this, the sim performed horrendously, with FPS at least half of what I normally get.

Preset E is now the default for Performance, Balanced, and Quality modes, while Preset F is for Ultra Performance and DLAA. Am I mis-interpreting the above?

Mar 3, 2024 · Exactly. To each their own I guess. As for myself I prefer DLSS for the performance benefit - I honestly don't think image quality is any worse than TAA. If one takes the time to update DLSS to latest version as well as implementing DLSS ultra quality - I think DLSS can actually look better (e.g. better antialiasing, post-processing).

Nov 13, 2024 · A Driver Update has never ever replaced the DLSS DLL in Games. That's why software like DLSS Swapper exists in the first place. What can be though is that a Driver Update will provide support or compatibility for certain DLSS Features. So best practice should always be to run the latest Driver when installing newly released DLSS DLLs.
Frame Gen is not an option available in 2024 Graphics
Nov 24, 2024 · I used DLSS Swaper to verify 3.8.10.0 is in the folder with FlightSimulator2024.exe. I then copied the .dll from the Flight Sim 2020 folder because FG works perfectly in MSFS 2020. Still - no FG option in 2024. Then used DLSS swapper to revert to 3.7.20.0 in both 2024 and 2020. FG works fine in 2020 but not available in 2024.
