Dec 27, 2024 · Omaha, Neb. — Governor Jim Pillen is set to be released from his stay at Nebraska Medicine following a horseback riding incident on Dec. 22. Gov. Pillen had suffered a lacerated kidney, spleen, several broken ribs and a minor fracture on his vertebrae. He was initially treated at Columbus Community Hospital before being flown into Nebraska Medicine in Omaha for treatment.
